UPM PHARMACEUTICALS®, INC. TO PURCHASE NEW KORSCH XL SERIES TABLET PRESS

Baltimore, MD, August 5, 2008 – UPM Pharmaceuticals®, Inc., announced today, the planned purchase of the Korsch 100 XL tablet press. This member of the Korsch XLseries of pharmaceutical rotary presses can accommodate both "B" and "D" tooling and is designed for R&D formulation and small–scale manufacturing. This piece of equipment further expands UPM’s broad equipment train for solid dosage form processing. UPM plans to have the Korsch press operational by late October 2008.
