UPM PHARMACEUTICALS®, INC. INSTALLATION OF NEW PACKAGING LINE

 

Baltimore, MD, April 24, 2009 – In response to client needs and to expand our production capabilities, UPM Pharmaceuticals®, Inc. has installed an automated packaging line.

 

This new packaging line configured by Modular Packaging Systems (MPS) incorporates a MPS AU-3C Descrambler, MPS VC-12 Tablet Counter, Dietz CS1 Cottoner, Kaps-All E4 Capper, Kinsley RollTite Cap Tightener, AutoMate AM250 Induction Sealer and Quadrel Moduline Labeler. The U-shape configuration will expand UPM’s capability and efficiency from a semiautomated to a fully automated packaging line with a capacity of approximately 1,800 bottles per hour.

The new system will be fully operational and validated on or before May 1, 2009.
