UPM PHARMACEUTICALS® INC. INTEGRATES DOCUMENTUM eROOM

Baltimore, MD, January 4, 2010 - In conjunction with the release of Documentum Compliance Manager, UPM Pharmaceuticals®, Inc. is pleased to announce the completed incorporation of Documentum eRoom. This integration will enhance UPM’s ability to efficiently communicate and deliver documentation to our clients.

Documentum eRoom is an easily adopted web-based collaborative workspace that enables distributed teams to work together more efficiently. With eRoom, our project teams can accelerate and improve the development and delivery of products and services, optimize collaborative business processes, and streamline decision-making. This eRoom workplace captures thought processes and design issues related to a new product’s conception. It provides the detailed structure necessary to collect, review, and share information needed in development stages.

By integrating information rights management, eRoom addresses the demand for information protection and control. Content developed between UPM and clients is protected after distribution beyond any firewalls. eRoom will play an important role in the document approval and distribution process for UPM. Documents can be posted for review, approval, and commenting by our clients.

Ted McCarthy, Executive Director, Quality Assurance, comments, “eRoom is a secure workspace and repository for all project-related documentation, master and executed, which will be accessible to our clients 24/7 via password-protected accounts from virtually any computer with internet access.” UPM Pharmaceuticals®, Inc. is a Baltimore-based contract development and manufacturing organization providing customized formulation development, manufacturing, and analytical services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, and veterinary clients.

Fully appreciating that time-to-market is critical, UPM offers remarkably flexible, affordable, and rapid outsourcing services designed to meet clients’ specific development and manufacturing needs. Their clients represent both small and large companies, within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and academic institutions who have a focus on clinical studies.
