UPM PHARMACEUTICALS®, INC. INITIATES DOCUMENTUM COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Baltimore, MD, February 10, 2009 - As part of continued efforts to provide clients with quality
and responsive service, UPM Pharmaceuticals®, Inc. is pleased to announce the initiation of an
Electronic Document Management System (EDMS): Documentum Compliance Manager
(DCM).
DCM will assist UPM Pharmaceuticals®, Inc. in sharing documents with clients electronically in
compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and internal policies, while continuing to meet product
and service quality standards. The EDMS manages and tracks electronic documents through the
document’s lifecycles including creation, approval, distribution, new version replacement, and
retirement. Audit trails and signatures are maintained to comply with applicable regulations.

which will provide increased document control capabilities, and improved turnaround on
